Library Course Reserve

Add web sites using "Cite It"

"Cite It" is a browser plugin that allows you to add a wide range of sources, from OneSearch and many of the library's databases to web sites such as YouTube and TED Talks.

To install Cite It:

  1. In the course reserve system, click your initials in the upper right corner.
  2. Click the "Cite It" option
  3. Click and drag the blue "Cite It" button to your browser's bookmarks toolbar (if the bookmarks toolbar is not visible, see your browser's Help pages).

To use Cite It:

  1. Go to the web resource you want to cite.
  2. Click "Cite It" in your bookmarks toolbar.
  3. Cite It will create a record with as much bibliographic information as it can harvest. If it is a resource Wesleyan Library owns or has access to, the system should recognize that.
  4. Edit author, title, type, etc., fields as appropriate.
  5. Select a List to add the resource to, or select to put it in your Collection.
  6. Click to "Add" to a list or your collection.
