- Discography of Historical American Records (DAHR) - Expansive and growing database of information about 78 RPM recordings (ca. 1898 - 1950s), including performer and composer names, titles, places, matrix numbers, and catalog numbers. Currently has information on over 350,000 recordings from many of the significant record labels of the period: Victor, Columbia, OKeh, Berliner, Edison, Zonophone, Leeds & Catlin, Brunswick, and Decca. About 46,000 of the entries also include streaming audio of the recordings. Also provides access to copies of previously published discographies and other historical recording research.
- Doctoral Dissertations in Musicology Online - A keyword-searchable index to dissertations in musicology, hosted by the American Musicological Society.
- The Classical Music Navigator - A site devoted to 444 composers of Western classical music and their principle works, identifying 111 of the "most influential" of these composers by tracking their influence on subsequent composers.
- All Music Guide - The most extensive discographies of musicians and composers on the Web. Biographies are brief, but cover a wide range of music. Better for international and American popular music and jazz, but the coverage of classical music is quite good as well.
