Here are just a few commonly used sources for education data and statistics, plus a few tips for where else to look for data:

National Center for Education Statistics
Data and statistics related to education, from the U.S. Department of Education. Primary focus is on United States but also includes data from other countries.

EdSight - Insight into Education
Connecticut State Department of Education's data portal.

ICPSR (Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research)
An archive of data files from a variety of research projects and other sources, covering research in the social and behavioral sciences.

Education Statistics from the World Bank
Data and analysis source for topics in education such as access, completion, learning, expenditures, policy, and equity.
